▪ Location: Lower Parel Mumbai Export Operations: Plan and execute US-bound shipments for APIs, intermediates, within USA and import/export. Handle air & sea freight bookings, documentation, and tracking. Create accounts with local US transport companies in mid-west.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and verify export docs: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Analysis, MSDS, TSCA Certificate, ISF 10+2. Ensure compliance with 21 CFR, DGFT, and US Customs regulations.
Coordination: Liaise with CHAs, freight forwarders, airlines, shipping lines, and US consignees. Coordinate with warehouse for FG release, labeling, and UN packaging as per hazmat requirements. Handle local logistics within USA
Cost & TAT Control: Negotiate freight rates, monitor demurrage/detention, optimize routes, and ensure OTIF delivery. Track shipment costs vs budget.
Risk Management: Handle insurance, claims, temperature excursions, and customs hold. Maintain CAPA records for export deviations.
ERP & Reporting: Update ERP with shipment status, GR/GI, and export incentives. Share weekly MIS on shipment pipeline, pending docs, and delivered orders.
Job Summary
Manage end-to-end export logistics for pharmaceutical/chemical molecules to the United States. Ensure compliance with US FDA, DOT, IATA, IMDG regulations and timely, cost-effective shipments while coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Knowledge:
US import regulations: FDA, CBP, TSCA, DOT Hazmat Incoterms 2020, HS Codes, ECCN classification
Cold chain & dangerous goods handling – IATA DGR, IMDG Code
Essential Skills
• Strong documentation accuracy, vendor negotiation.
• Excellent written & Spoken English communications.
• US time-zone coordination, problem-solving under TAT pressure.
• Knowledge of US bonded warehouse and 3PL distribution models.
• Experience with USFDA audited facilities.
• On-Time In-Full Delivery % to US customers.
• Zero customs penalties or FDA holds due to documentation.
• Freight cost per kg vs target.
Shift Timings:
Must be available 3: 00 PM – 11:00 PM IST to overlap with US business hours.
