Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator – L1 Support

Experience: 2 to 3 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator with 2–3 years of experience in managing, monitoring, and supporting Oracle database environments. The candidate will be responsible for database maintenance, backups, patching, user management, and performance monitoring.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Perform daily health checks of Oracle database instances (uptime, space utilization, performance).

 Monitor tablespaces, datafiles, redo logs, and alert logs for potential issues.

 Manage user accounts, roles, and privileges following security policies.

 Perform database backups and restorations using RMAN (Recovery Manager).

 Support database patching and version upgrades.

 Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR, ADDM, and OEM tools.

 Assist in installation and configuration of Oracle Database software (11g/12c/19c).

 Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and locking issues.

 Perform data export/import using Data Pump utili ties (expdp/impdp).

 Monitor ASM disk groups and coordinate with the storage team for space management.

 Support database cloning, refresh activities, and schema migrations.

 Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance as per company standards.

 Support DR (Disaster Recovery) and high availability setups (RAC/Dataguard).

 Coordinate with application, middleware, and infrastructure teams for smooth operations.

 Maintain documentation for configurations, backups, and recovery procedures.

Technical Skills Required:

 Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c) – installation, configuration, maintenance.

 Experience in RMAN backup & recovery operations.

 Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL for query tuning and issue diagnosis.

 Understanding of tablespace, datafile, and control file management.

 Hands-on experience with Data Pump (expdp/impdp).

 Familiar with ASM (Automatic Storage Management).

 Knowledge of database patching using OPatch.

 Exposure to RAC and Data Guard concepts.

 Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands for DB administration.
